Liz Simon - makes U Tube!Liz Simon is one of our wonderful patient advocates who tirelessly offers support, hope and love to the growing community of people who access Lungevity - an on line forum for people living with lung cancer. Liz is a very passionate and constructive member of the Kylie Johnston Lung Cancer Network's management committee and her on-going contribution is significant. Liz is also involved in delivering an innovative education program Breathe - anti smoking presentations to primary school children to raise their awareness about the health risks of the smoking and passive smoking. Liz has also done media relations and government advocacy work on behalf of The Australian Lung Foundation and The Kylie Johnston Lung Cancer Network - which includes taking K Rudd on at a community cabinet meeting in Nambour last year. Unfortunately, Liz was hospitalised recently during the festival session and in her wonderfully flamboyant style Liz had her devoted niece Pippy recorded a film of her extended stay at the Wesley Hospital. Despite being given a 50 per cent chance of surviving her surgery, Liz was discharged from hospital last week and is currently taking things easy at home.
