Kylie Johnston had been dreaming of going to Paris and travel overseas with her husband for a long time. In May 2007 this dream was realized.

Kylie and Nick Johnston traveled to France, Italy and Switzerland and spent 5 weeks soaking in the European experience.

For Kylie getting to the top of the Eiffel Tower was such a special moment to share with her husband. Paris was everything she had hoped it would be and more.

"It was an amazing experience. Never would I have thought even a couple of years ago, with my advanced lung cancer diagnosis, that I would be able to travel all the way to Europe."

She was adamant that patients should continue to make plans and look forward to realise their dreams.

"I feel extremely happy to have shared such a beautiful trip with my soul mate and best friend, Nick. Even when some days were physically a bit tougher from jet lag etc, we took our time, rested, relaxed and then continued to soak in the spectacular food, scenery and people."

Kylie's wish was for other lung cancer patients to look beyond their diagnosis and focus on living and fulfilling their dreams.
