Clinical Trials
Multi-centre Clinical Trials Network
The Australian Lung Foundation, a National not-for-profit community based organisation, established the Multi-centre Clinical Trials Network (MCTN) in 1998. This service works with leading research companies and provides access to fully qualified Investigator site(s) and assists with finding suitable patients predominately in the area of Lung Disease.
For Patients
In early 2009, the Lung Foundation recognised the need to establish a system that would provide information and educate the general community about clinical trials. This need led to the Lung Foundation developing the MCTN Patient Community. Within the Patient Community, patients can:
- Register their interest in participating in clinical trials
- Access information about clinical trials
- View clinical trials that are currently being conducted in Australia and New Zealand
- Completer a feasibility questionnaire to see if they are potentially suitable
